I'm trying to dry a rose for a project but I don't know how....
What is the proper/best way to dry a flower?
My mother used to use dry sand with a little salt added.Half fill the box with this mix then place the flower in and carefully bury the flower by covering or pouring the remaining mix in,Give it a couple of weeks to be certain then carefully empty the box,Hope this helps.
Reply:hang it upside down in a dry area,
u can also try freezing it
Reply:do you want it flat or 3D ?
If you want it flat put it in a book.
if you want it 3D spay it with hari spray and hold it upside down....don't rest it on anything or it will dry all smushed.
So hold it upside and spray with hairspray...then repeat.....then repeat....then repeat !
Reply:People say Hang it upsidedown... I though just let it sit right sideup and viola its dried out
Reply:One of the faster ways is using silica sand and a microwave. See the link below for full details and what flowers this works great with.
Super fast and the flowers retain their shape really well.
