Or are pins all you can use?
I'm using a shadow box to make a present for my boyfriend--I wanted to put pictures, ticket stubs, dried flowers, etc. in it, but is there any other way to mount them? I don't really want to use pins. If there's no other way, could I use something besides a shadow box?
Thank you!
Besides pins, how can I mount things in a shadow box?
Foam tape that you can get in craft or office supply stores. It will lift the items off the background. You can layer several pieces together to even add more dimension. (it's double sided).
Reply:two sided sticky tape or hot glue
Reply:Glue Dots are great. You can find them at any craft store. You can get them in different strengths. From low tack(if this is something you want to take apart later) or super high tack for a permanent fix. Hope this helps. Good luck:)
Reply:Depending on what you are mounting, try decorative brads, scrap booking eyelets or scrap booking brads. Some of them are very pretty or you can get plain colored ones and they all come in a variety of sizes and colors. Hope this helps you out.
Reply:There is also something called sticky tack - it is blue and it is tacky - sort of like silly putty. You will find at a craft store, maybe the grocery store, it is fairly easy to find. Otherwise, you might try a picture frame and make a collage of the items, as long as they are mostly flat.
Reply:I've used velcro, the sticky back kind. Or they have a very strong double sided tape you can get at any craft store.
