It's a Champagne of course, and with any wine, the vintage is everything in determining taste and quality. You can get a bad vintage and the wine will taste dry and bitter, a good vintage and it is sheer nectar. Try the 1990 for the best experience, followed by the 1996 or 1998. It is not considered to be an outstanding Champagne, even though the bottle is pretty and makes a good bud vase when empty. It is actually hand painted! Come on out to Malibu and I'll open a few bottles! The bottles with the painted labels are not just Perrier-Jouet (which is the brand), but also the "Belle Epoque Fleur de Champagne" which is the flowered bottle. Here is a link where you can buy it for less than $100.
Reply:I don't know, but I'm curious too. I like the way the bottle is designed w/ the pretty Lavender and White flowers.
Reply:It's yummy, try it! At $120.00 a bottle you can't go wrong
