hang it upside down for about 1-2 weeks till its completley dry, then you can send it out
How do make a dried flower i have a beautiful rose want to send to my girl friend who lives 240 miles away?
Take the flower head and lay flat on a piece of A4 paper. Make sure all the petals are facing upward. Place another paper on top and have that pressed down with a heavy book like the phone directory. Add more heavy books on top. And keep it that way for 5 days. Another tip, you can use newspapers instead of the A4 papers. It dries the flower rather quickly
Reply:Takes ages, but give it a go. Get your flower head, put it in a heavy book (encyclopedia works well) with some cardboard on either side.
Put more heavy books on top and put it somewhere warm and dry (airing cupboard works best).
Leave for a few days, hey presto.
Reply:Hang it upside down somewhere thats quite warm till it is dried.
Reply:You could try putting it in a frame maybe, pressed down.
Reply:Two options. Put between sheets of tissue paper, place in book, add weights and wait. Takes time.
Second. Put some in oven. Sharp sand. Low heat to dry it. Cool. Put layer in tray. Add rose and carefully add more sand between the petals. Completely cover. Put in very low heat in oven. Keep checking it. Will take few hours. When all is very dry to touch, take out and let cool.
Ah...love!
Reply:Hi i just looked for you and it says something about putting them in a microwave. Very Romatic of you.
See below.
Reply:Don't let it die... If you let the rose dry up and die on it's own the petals will fall off.... Take it while it is still alive hang it upside down... then when it dries out put it in a frame!
