I want something that is bright and will survive being inside at my job where the air is kinda dry.
What is a good in door plant to have with flowers that will last awhile.?
Try a bromeliad. It's bloom is very long lasting, very exotic looking and easy to maintain. You can order from a local florist or buy it from the supermarket that has a floral department. Home Depot also sell bromeliads. See more info here:

Reply:a Christmas Cactus. untrue to it's name, mine flowers several times a year, and I give it fertilizer and water. They come in several different colors and will last for years if taken care of. Mine is 17 years old, and my mother-in-law has one over 20 years old.
Reply:Phalanopsis Orchid.
Reply:Try a Kolanchoe, they come in various shades of pinks and orange, also a Shamrock Plant has white blossoms and the leaves will close up at night, another one is a Chinese Evergreen which grows upright with long stems and has white or pink blooms on the ends of these tall stems. A Christmas or Easter Cactus is very beautiful in bloom and are easy to care for, needed very little water. African Violet's are low growing plants that come in a variety or colors, but they are tempermental, you must avoid getting water on their leaves because it will spot them and eventually they die off. Hope this helps, happy planting!
