I'm making flower shapes using a a flower cutter into the gum paste, then shaping with a ball tool. After shaping, the flowers just sag and I can't get them to hold their shape while drying. Any ideas?
I'm using a Fuschia cutter.
How do I prevent my gum/sugar paste flowers from collapsing? They're too soft to hold their shape when drying
It's best not to handle gum past when the humitidy is high.
Try rolling the dough in cornstarch to strengthen them.

Reply:Gum paste hates humidity. Find the dryest place in your house to dry the pieces. Good luck.
