How to dry and dye flowers?

I need to know how to dry and dye flowers.

How to dry and dye flowers?
I have dried flowers in Cornmeal, get a shoebox put some cornmeal in then place flower head in and add more cor n meal till it is covered.

Keep checking every four days, then take some thin wire (get it at michaels) push wire thru bottom of flower head then make a hook and pull back gently, the remaining wire you can wind around a twig/stick for a stem

To dry Roses you can place up side down in a very dry place

You can also dry Peonies this way too

To find out more and about how to arrange them go to your local library or join a garden club

To dye flowers, you can place say a daisy in food coloring, it will take up the coloring and dye the tips of the petals.

I like to do this on July fourth with red-blue food color the daisy is already white
Reply:Cut flowers (that are not too fleshy) as they are just blooming. Tie them moderately tight, in small bundles %26amp; hang them upside down in a cool, DARK place. Done this way, flowers retain their natural colors %26amp; do not need to be dyed. For toning %26amp; touch-ups, you can use diluted food coloring. You can also use a food dryer if you have one.
